I am a former combat veteran of Vietnam. I served as a paratrooper in the Infantry with the 101ST Airborne Division of the U.S. Army, distinguished myself and was promoted three times while in Vietnam.

Upon returning stateside, I served as a combat instructor for Field Grade Officers prior to my Honorable Discharge.

I Completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Management in 1972 from Tennessee Wesleyan College and continued in two other graduate programs.

My professional experience includes over twenty years of executive management expertise in the financial and commercial banking industry and later in the commercial and residential building and real estate markets, for firms such as North Carolina National Bank (Bank America), Sears Roebuck and Company, Federal Supply Inc., and Construction Specialty Division.

I have been a NC State Licensed Independent Insurance Adjuster, specializing in residential and light commercial property claims in North Carolina, since 1989, most notably following the aftermath of Hurricane Hugo.

I have been active in buying and selling commercial real estate since 1977, first for both my personal investment portfolio and also my customers.

After graduating from college I started my business career with E.F. Hutton as a stock broker. A client led me into the coal business, and after moving to Charlotte, N.C. in 1975, I started my own coal brokerage business.

I also founded a lighting fixture business in 1986 which was sold in 1992. Having a varied business background has been a resource that has served me well in helping clients with a broad spectrum of Commercial Real Estate needs.

A native of England and a graduate of London University, I moved to the United States in 1974. After 23 years in the resort industry in Vail, Colorado and the Southeast, I moved to Charlotte in 1991. With 10 years in residential real estate, I transitioned into commercial real estate in the area of land and commercial investment.

Today, I see a tremendous need for investors to place money into an area that provides stability and continued growth. There are a multitude of factors that make Charlotte one of the most attractive areas in the next 20 years.

Much of my work over the past three years has been with Chuck and Hershel and forming a joint organization was a natural progression. We are excited about the possibilities of this new venture and the opportunity it will provide our clients.
